Early Summer Garden

The afternoon was almost warm today for gardening in the East Bay. Never altogether warm. This long stretch of cool damp weather has been good for the garden, bringing the plants along slowly rather than in a sudden heat-spell rush, as happens most years.

It has not been a good year for roses  at least not so far. They pine for warmer days. The potted plants, on the other hand, prefer these cool temperatures.
